Absztrakt

Game, and especially matching theory is one of the most important approaches of mathematics and economics of the 21. century. Numerous everyday problems can be algorithmed with the help of them. The aim of present paper is to introduce the outcome of various matching algorithms in the life of students in tertiary education. A short insight into the algorithms, and the possibilities of improvement of: course election, application for international exchange and signing up for various time slots for student assignments are presented. By pinpointing the sub-optimality of the present systems and providing alternative solutions for the problems investigated I try to support students of tertiary education in making rational, optimal, or at least satisfying decisions.
