Abstract

La famosa invasione degli orsi in Sicilia (The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily) by Dino Buzzati, one of the most important figures of 20th-century Italian literature, presents a vision of general moral and political mechanisms. The realistic political plane, combined with a fabulous and fantastic narrative arc, provides a completely human perspective on zoomorphic reality through the optics of a particular bear. This paper focuses on the implications that explore the moral attitudes of the zoomorphic man.

a SZTE Olasz Tanszékének professor emeritája, az SZTE Antikvitás és Reneszánsz: Források és Recepció Kutatóközpont és a SZTE Animalia Kutatóközpont vezetője, a Centro Internazionale di Studi Giovan Battista Della Porta elnökhelyettese. Kutatási területe a közép- és újkori művelődéstörténet, a középkori, reneszánsz és barokk olasz irodalomtörténet, az udvari kultúra, a fiziognómia szerepe az irodalomban és a művészetekben, továbbá az állatszimbolika művelődéstörténete.
